Can Mestret: Casa rural independiente

Can Mestret is a wonderful country home located in a privileged setting next to the castle in the village of la Nou de Gaia, overlooking the beautiful Catalan countryside. Built in the 18th century it has recently been restored to its original splendor.

On the ground level, once you cross a large and cool entrance, you have a living/dining area, a bathroom with a bath tub and a fully-fitted kitchen which leads you to a private garden with a lovely lemon tree as well as an old fashioned sink.

On the first floor there is an area for games with a pool table. Around this area there are four double bedrooms, one of them with two twin beds, a suite with a queen size bed, fireplace and a twin bed. There are two other bedrooms with queen size beds. There is one bathroom on this floor with a shower.

The top floor has a large living room with slanted ceilings where there is a television and DVD. There are two double bedrooms with access to a large terrace with beautiful views of the valley. This floor has a bathroom with a bathtub.

Due to the mild climate of this area and the house itself, it allows for rentals from April through October.

Can Mestret can house up to 12 guests comfortably with six people in the double bedrooms in addition to two cots and a baby crib upon request.

The house is rented in its entirety and there is a minimum 2 night stay.

The house has three floors and each floor has a large communal area for gatherings, entertainment or for rest and relaxation.

In the kitchen, which is fully equipped with modern conveniences, there is a fireplace for cooking and a large pantry.

Also, on the top floor there is a chimney in the living room which creates a warm and intimate atmosphere perfect for reading or relaxing. It is on this floor where you can enjoy the views of the different landscapes. From the front you have a view of the fields which reach the sea and from the back terrace you have hills leading to the pre-coastal mountain range.
